How Does Invisalign® Work?
Invisalign® moves away from the traditional method of tooth straightening (fixed brackets & wires) and instead uses clear aligners! They are custom made to fit your mouth specifically. Removable for eating, drinking and brushing/flossing your teeth.
They are virtually invisible when worn and most people won’t even notice your in treatment! You will wear a series of clear aligners which will gradually reposition your teeth until the final resting position of straight teeth.
Types of Invisalign® Cheshire
Invisalign® as a system consists of the same treatment process regardless of which category you fall into. Before you even wear your first aligner, your treatment plan will have been prepared digitally, calculating each movement that is required to get you to the end result of straight teeth. Each aligner you wear will then gradually reposition your teeth over the course of treatment. The different categories are:
Invisalign® I7 (Express): This version of Invisalign® is aimed at the more minor cases (less tooth movements required). It consists of 7 aligners for both the upper and lower jaw. Treatment times can be completed in as little as 3 months and starts from £1,175.00.
Invisalign® Lite: Going up to the next version of Invisalign®, this is aimed at minor to more moderate cases. It consists of 14 aligners for both the upper and lower jaw. Treatment times can be completed in as little as 6.5 months and starts from £2,975.00.
Invisalign® Full: This is for the more complex cases that requires more tooth movements to get your straight teeth. It includes unlimited aligners for both the upper and lower jaw. Treatment times can be completed on average between 12 & 24 months and starts from £3,575.00.
Invisalign® Teen: As the name suggests, this version of Invisalign® is aimed at Teenagers. Just like the main system, the price and length of treatment time will be dependent on how minor to severe the case is (ranging from 3-24 months on average – from £1,175.00 to £3,575.00)
Vivera Retainers: Now Vivera are a type of clear retainer that has been developed by Invisalign® to be worn initially full time, followed by just night time wear. They are built to be at least 30% more durable than other types of clear retainers. The reason why we need to retain teeth is because after straightening them it is natural for the teeth to try and move back to their original positions (this is the same as all types of teeth straightening treatments).
