Dental Implant

Missing teeth are not only a blow to your self-confidence but also your ability to chew and enjoy meals. Teeth can be lost due to a variety of factors, including tooth decay, accident, or gum disease.

A dental implant replaces missing teeth by carefully inserting a titanium post into the jaw to replicate the function of the tooth root, and then fitting a crown to the titanium post. Several implants can be used to replace multiple teeth, and a bridge or denture can be attached to them. All of the solutions mimic real teeth and aid in the restoration of chewing function.

Our skilled dental implant team at The Croft Dental and Implant Practice, Dr Nikhil Oberai and Dr Natasja Kashyap, employ cutting-edge technology to plan and treat our patients, and we are proud of our 99% implant success rate.

Same Day Teeth

The Same Day Teeth procedure is used to replace a full upper and/or lower arch of teeth with a bridge of 10-12 teeth supported by 4-6 implants. The implants are precisely placed to distribute the strain and pressure generated during chewing and eating across the entire jaw.

This is ideal for patients who:

  • Have multiple missing teeth (upper or lower)
  • Are struggling to eat
  • Find it difficult to speak with ill-fitting dentures
  • Don’t want to use dentures or removable teeth
  • Wish to prevent further bone loss

Single Dental Implants

If you only have one missing tooth, a single implant is your best option. Many patients who have a lost tooth in the front of their mouth have turned to dental implants as their first option. A single titanium implant is inserted into the bone and given 12 weeks to recover. After the area has healed, an impression is obtained and a custom abutment and cosmetic crown are constructed to fit the implant. This dental implant crown should look, feel, and operate just like your natural tooth.

Multiple Dental Implants

When more than one tooth is missing, it can leave a wide gap in your mouth, making it difficult to chew, speak, and impair your smile’s appearance. To close the gap, several dental implants can be used. This can take the form of a cosmetic bridge joining implants or a mixture of single implants and cosmetic crowns. The number of dental implants necessary is determined by a variety of circumstances, and it is best to visit with a dentist to find out.

Implant Retained Dentures

Do you have trouble wearing your denture or if it becomes loose and moves around, making eating and speaking difficult? Implant retained dentures may be a good option. To keep your denture in place, dental implants may be used. In the lower jaw, we will insert 2 to 4 implants, and in the upper jaw, we will place 4 implants. When necessary, the denture can be locked in place and easily removed for cleaning.

Keyhole Dental Implants

We have to cut into the gum with traditional dental implant placement, but with a “keyhole dental implant,” we make a considerably smaller incision. It is a minimum method to dental implant placement in the jaw bone, ensuring that gum tissues are not traumatized, resulting in reduced post-operative swelling and discomfort.

Bone Grafting

It may be necessary to replace bone that has been lost on occasion, usually after a tooth has been pulled and left for a period of time. Bone resorption is a common occurrence in people who have missing teeth. A variety of bone replacement materials can be used to replace bone and can be implanted prior to or concurrently with implant implantation. Sinus Lift

A sinus lift is a procedure in which bone is added to the upper jaw in the area of the molars and premolars. It’s also known as a sinus augmentation. The bone is placed between your jaw and the maxillary sinuses, which are located on both sides of your nose.
